  • Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until evenly browned, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, chopped onion, and sliced red bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, dried basil, and dried oregano to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes start to soften.
  • Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked penne pasta and sliced chicken back to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
